We are first drawn to the dramatic picture in the centre of the magazine. The picture overlaps the masthead. This can happen with well known magazines, such as 'The Source' because people can instantly recognise them by their appearance as each issue would have been made in the same style. The 3 colour scheme rule applies to this cover as red, white and black are consistently used. There is a range of font size to make certain statements look bolder and we can see three layers on this cover, the mast head, the picture and the side headings. |
