Pictures with female model

These are pictures which of took to see how it would look to use a female model rather than a male one on the front cover. I tried to take it in the style of a stereotypical american 'geek' holding books with the geek glasses and a cheesy smile. However i do not think that it works and i think it looks silly so i will probably stick with male models. 

I wanted to see if the picture would look better in black and white effect on them  but i do no think that it makes much of an improvement. 

The problem with photos like this is that the audience is a harder to find than with a male model as females would usually only buy a magazine with a female model in the front if the person is a celebrity and males would buy a female model on the front if the model suggested pornography or sex and i wanted to make sure that my photos didn't suggest that so i think that the audience would be limited with a photo like this.
