Choosing a Font

I researched some fonts for the masthead of my music magazine and picked out my best ones. These are my favourite fonts which i came across:
Chi Town Font

Balls on the Rampage

Woop Ass Font

Budmo Jiggler Font

Page 1 Microsoft Word Fonts

Page 2 Microsoft Word Fonts

The top 4 fonts i found on a website called Headline Fonts. I can only download them to write lots in them, but i can preview them then save the image, like what i did here. The ones in green, the last 10 are ones which i got from microsoft word. They are the similar ones, which are in a way bolder and stronger, and definitely clearer. However they are less fancy and more to the point. I think that as the audience for the magazine is quite risky, getting the right font is important which will be attractive to the audience, i also think if it links in with the theme of the 'musicals music' it would make more sense. That is why i really like Budmo Jiggler Font as i think the lights look like the lights which surround mirrors in dressing rooms. These lights will also be on the double page spread, so would link into that as well. Chi Town font i also really like. I think that it gives te feeling of music from musicals. My favourite font from Microsoft word is Blair Mditc TT (number 3) i think it is clear and the fact that it is wide show how it can reach far and spread along the width of a page. I also like TW cenMT as i think it is clear and neat, as well as being modern. I think a modern font could be a route to go down, as i think that the age i am aiming it at likes 'clear' fonts, they wont want a vintage or retro look as its not as too the point as a basic font, however i also think appearance is important so ideally a clear but attractive font would be perfect. That is why i really like the Budmo Jiggler Font as i think is in both categories of being clear, attractive and linking in with the theme.
