Colour Schemes

I was having a look around on the internet for some ideas for colour schemes, and i came across this a website which helps you choose your colour schemes. I know that there is a basic rule on a front cover of a magazine to have a scheme of 3 colours, this website helps you to choose and compare colours together all in sets of 3. The website is called Colour Scheme Designer 3. When i was looking at photos from musicals they are usually warm colours, i was thinking maybe purple, blue and pink. so i compared them on the colour scene designer and it looked like this: 

I personally thought that this was a bit too much, so maybe 2 brighter colours with a paler colour. so i found part of the page where it could show the colours in a paler form (i also brought up the contrast to make the paler ones even paler) . and it looked like this: 

But when looking at it like this, think that it would work better to stick with the more vibrant ones, it will look less like a girl magazine and more theatrical and dramatic. I will carry on re-searching but i will probably choose a colour scheme with vibrant colours, to make it also stand out.
